Unfit to Run-Fit- 9 Week Run Course

Starting to run can be daunting, you don’t know where to start, what to do and how to do it. It’s a mine field. Every time you try, it’s too hard, you hurt yourself and you give up.

Come and learn how to run with a warm, supportive and friendly group. With expert knowledge and advice on correct form, injury prevention, nutrition, stretching and recovery, this education will give you the tools to see it through and keep on running!

This course is carefully designed to get you running continuously for 30 minutes, which is roughly 5KM in distance after 9 weeks. You must be prepared to commit to other sessions twice a week and follow the simple walk/run programme.

It is a little longer than some other courses but I don’t think it should be rushed, it is such a gradual process and on the final week it is good to reinforce everything you have learnt and celebrate being able to run 5KM!! It’s a big deal!!

 

When does it start?

The first course starts on Monday 5th June


What time and where?

Monday morning’s at 9:30AM we will meet at Grayling Park in Chichester. Please allow enough time to park.


How much?

It is £25 pp for 9 weeks. Not a lot, for a lifetimes worth of running ahead of you.


I will send you out more information nearer the time. It is important to consider this carefully as it is going to take commitment, time and dedication. It may be nice to do it with a friend or family member for extra support. Although, I do ensure you it will be a very supportive environment with lots of encouragement and positivity!

About me

I recently completed a ‘Sport and Exercise Science’ degree which focused on disease prevention with a healthy, active lifestyle and nutrition. Having finished this, I really want to put this into practice and pass on all that I have learnt, so please ask questions, they are great.  I am ‘Run Leader’ Qualified and I have tonnes of experience leading the Run group at The Run Company, so you are in safe hands. I started running when I was 18, I remember how difficult it was and I wished I could have learnt with similar people who were the same level as me. I want to create an encouraging, positive and supportive experience, in a safe environment for you to learn and really develop into runners.
